Matters
It is more
important
that you love someone
than that you read this.
I have
spun words
fine as the pink filaments
of cotton candy
but I would
rather love
than write forever
or better, like Dante
returned
from the dead,
saying, “I shall tell you all.”
I shall tell you nothing.
I repeat
the obvious:

begging your embrace.
