Walk
the Grass Green
Sniff
the air
for violence
cleared.
walk,,,,,,,,,walk,,,,,,,,,,
walk the grass green
brown
patches of drought
white circles of death
clinched light
Take the
path of rocks
lesser rocks of stones
curved inward, outward
past concealed
Probe
the tree for wounds
splintered limbs, gouges
blighted wood
life without,
life within
small furries curl sleep
vines intermingling
Bend these
shadows
‘round autumn arms
reached leaves test
ground’s safety
moss in
the well
weeds split brick
part the way
new grass!
best laid
plans
collect ruin
gather nature
walk,,,,,,,,,walk,,,,,,,,,,
walk the grass green.
